Admission Arrangements

The current policy for admission to primary schools adopted by Essex Education Authority is for children to start full time attendance in an infant department at the beginning of the term in which they become five years old.

Admissions 2021-2022

Parents are advised to consult the Local Authority booklet “Primary Education in Essex 2021/2022” which gives full details of the admissions process, including information on the admissions cycle.

Mid Year Applications

Parents wishing to make a mid-year application for places in Years 1-6 must apply online via Essex County Council’s website:

www.essex.gov.uk/admissions.

A mid-year Application Form must be completed and submitted online.

Essex County Council will make contact with the school to establish the availability of school places.
